My mission is to improve the lives of children with autism around the world. One of my goals this year is to record and publish a new video blog each and every week so I can share my stories case studies get on a few soapboxes share some mistakes I see and give answers to frequently asked questions.
Here is the first video in the series:
I fell into the autism world in 1999 when my first born son Lucas was diagnosed with autism one day before he turned 3. Since then I’ve been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, wrote a best-selling book, earned a PhD and created two online courses for professionals and “gung-ho” parents.
Many of you were watching this now probably know that I’m author of The Verbal Behavior Approach, How to Teach Children With Autism and Related Disorders, which has sold over 50,000 copies since 2007 when it was first published and is available in several languages now.
Many of you who have been following me for years now know that I also published a very short e-book in 2015 called More Talking Less Tantrums in Your Child or Client With Autism: 10 Key Components of Effective Autism Programming for Any Age, Any Ability, Any Setting regardless of age, ability, or language. I’ve been selling this for the past two years, but late last year I decided to update the book to include downloads and videos so now I’ve decided to give the book away for free as part of my 10 day course called More Talking and Less Tantrums in Your Client or Child With Autism.
Most of my work, including my two books, is geared towards helping children with autism who also have significant language delays and disorders. So while I do help both toddlers and teens with autism most of my work is geared towards non-conversational children who have little to no language.
If you are a parent or professional and want to learn how to turn autism around for your child or client with autism, download my free 3-step guide to get started today.
Let me know that you are excited to join me on my journey to help children with autism around the world. I hope you plan on watching my videos every week. I promise to keep them short and include strategies you can implement immediately.
Thanks for watching and I’ll see you next week.
