Autism &/or Speech Delays

Whether you’re a parent or a professional, today’s interview is going to be for you. In the autism treatment maze, there are many autism interventions and it’s very easy to get lost when you are first introduced to the autism world. My interviewee, Tracy Vail, has postgraduate training in the use of many these autism interventions including: SCERTS, PRT, Floor Time, and the verbal behavior approach. In this episode, I sit down with Tracy and we discuss each of these different autism interventions and what benefits they bring to the table.

Along with being trained in many different areas, Tracy is also a speech and language pathologist. She’s the co-owner of Let’s Talk Speech and Language Services and she has been working with children on the autism spectrum since 1982. Furthermore, she was on the board of directors that started the Mariposa School for Children with Autism in North Carolina.

Whether you’ve been an autism professional for twenty years or you’re the parent to a toddler on the spectrum, you will walk away having learned something new from this very informative interview.
