Using screen time in a positive way can support children who need speech therapy. That’s why I’m so excited to introduce a gamified speech development app to you today called Speech Blubs. Mitja Mavsar, a Slovenian father of four, struggled with speech delays as a child, and he developed this app to help children practice making correct sounds.

Mitja and his partner intended to make the app with animation, but all of the animators were working on the hot new startups in town. Instead, they decided to record real children and use those videos for Speech Blubs. When they were in the studio asking children to make certain sounds, they looked around and realized that everyone else in the studio was subconsciously mimicking those same faces as they watched the children. What Mitja and his partner had accidentally stumbled onto is video modeling- a proven technique to help increase language.

So, what is Speech Blubs, a speech app that has taken the world by storm and is more commonly known as the autism talker app?

A Speech Blubs review shows that this speech therapy app comes with more than 1,500 activities, educational bonus videos, voice-activated activities, and face filters. Apart from being one of the best speech apps for autism, Speech Blubs has proved it works wonders for kids with speech delays, apraxia, and even for individuals with Down syndrome.

The speech development app is based on video modeling with “peer experts”. The focus is to motivate sound and word production, improve speech and pronunciation and boost imitation and interaction skills. This miracle video modeling speech therapy is capable of uplifting the speech of any young child.

Video modeling is a research-based technique that follows the neuroscience of mirror neurons. For children with autism who don’t like to look at faces, using Speech Blubs gives them an opportunity to have facial expressions modeled for them. When the child makes the correct sound in response to the prompt, their voice controls events within the app.

Speech Blubs is such a smart way to utilize screen time so that the child is not just sitting there and consuming media. In addition to American English, a child can also learn Spanish, Portuguese, French, and British English. With over 3 million children using Speech Blubs, Mitja and his company have a lot of solid data on how to continue to support their users’ learning styles. For parents on the waiting list for speech therapy, or for parents who’d like their child to continue learning at home, Speech Blubs could be a great tool for your child.

Most importantly, your child will love the speech-learning app Speech Blubs. Along with practicing speech, there are so many interesting things that your toddler will learn about through this positive reinforcement app – nature, objects, animals, dinosaurs, vehicles, professions, and much more. As part of video modeling, Speech Blubs offers interesting fact videos that support all the topics covered by the app.
